Resident Reports $6,000 Dentures Stolen

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

Grand theft was reported from Seaside Terrace on La Alameda Avenue, Sept. 12 at 4:48 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into a residence and took a $6,000 set of dentures from a bathroom counter top.

Graffiti was reported on Lehnhardt Avenue, Sept. 11 at 6:59 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) used white spray paint to write “Sureno 13” on a vehicle and the residential driveway it was parked on. Damage, including additional scratches on the vehicle, was estimated at $3,000. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.

Theft was reported from La Alameda Avenue, Sept. 13 at 2:56 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s locked bedroom and removed $10 worth of medication and an identification card. No signs of forced entry were reported.

Fountain Valley Public Library reported $40 worth of property stolen on Los Alamos, Sept. 13 at 1:35 p.m. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.

A $100 GPS was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on El Verde Circle, Sept. 12 at 6:27 p.m. No signs of forced entry were reported.

Vandalism was reported on La Hacienda Avenue, Sept. 12 at 9:14 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the windshield with an unknown tool while the vehicle was parked in an opened garage. Damage was estimated at $400. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.

Theft from a vehicle was reported on El Morado Avenue, Sept. 11 at 6:04 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered the unlocked vehicle, while parked in front of the residence, and removed $400 worth of property. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.

Theft from a vehicle was reported on Euclid Street near Slater Avenue, Sept. 11 at 11:59 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) used an unknown tool to raise the vehicle while it was parked in a carport and removed the right front tire, valued at $95, before fleeing undetected. No damage was reported.

A fight resulting in injuries was reported on Calle Independencia, Sept. 11 at 1:26 a.m. The incident began as a verbal argument but escaladed into a physical altercation, with the suspect punching the victim and causing a one-inch laceration on the chin.

A wallet, valued at $765, was reported stolen near Costco on Newhope Street, Sept. 8 at 3:24 p.m. The victim had just finished shopping at the store and realized upon exiting the store that his wallet, which he had been carrying on the left side of his pant pocket, was missing. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.

Vehicle vandalism was reported on Blackbird Avenue, Sept. 7 at 10:50 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear left window, causing estimated damage of $200, before fleeing undetected. No entry was made.
