String of Vehicle Vandalism Reports Believed To Be Related

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

Four incidences of vehicle tampering were reported on Santa Clara Street, Spruce Street and Thistle Avenue in the early hours of April 21 and 22. All parties reported that while their vehicles were parked in front of their residences, unknown suspect(s) threw bricks at the car windows, causing damages ranging from $1,100 to $2,100. Police officials said they believe the crims were committed by the same suspect(s), believed to be riding in a black sedan.

A man reported $965 worth of property missing from a Chevy on Harbor Boulevard near Heil Street, April 25 at 3:21 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) took several items before fleeing undetected, including a skate bag from the front passenger seat.

A man reported $1,050 worth of property missing from a Mercedes on Olympic Court and Adobe River Avenue, April 24 at 10:43 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by inserting an unknown tool through a small opening of the the window before fleeing undetected, causing damages estimated at $750.

Two watches worth $334.99 were reported stolen from a residence on Marigold Avenue, April 23 at 9:45 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by breaking the kitchen window lock and ransacked the master bedroom before fleeing undetected. Damages were estimated at $100.

Vehicle vandalism was reported on Euclid Street and Edinger Avenue, April 23 at 2:49 p.m. when the owner discovered a scratch running from the front passenger door to the rear passenger door. Unknown suspect(s) fled undetected, causing damages estimated at $2,000.

A $350 GPS was reported missing from an unlocked vehicle while parked on a residential driveway on Crocus Avenue, April 22 at 4:35 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) fled undetected.

A $1,970 guitar was reported stolen from Guitar Center on Euclid Avenue, April 22 at 4:04 p.m. Business employees discovered the missing item while conducting an inventory check. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) removed the instrument from a wall rack during business hours.

A $350 GPS was reported missing from a vehicle on Newhope Street and Mount Herrmann Street near Chase Bank, April 21 at 12:48 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by breaking a window and fled undetected. 

A purse and wallet worth $775 were reported missing from a vehicle on El Verde Circle, April 21 at 10:51 a.m. Later in the day, the owner reported that the unknown suspect(s) made use of her debit card at a gas station in the Los Angeles area.
