SUV Seat Bench Reported Stolen

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

A $3,500 vehicle leather seat bench was reported stolen from an unlocked 2011 Chevy Tahoe on Los Pintos Circle, May 31 at 7:24 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) fled undetected.

A $700 laptop computer was reported missing from a parked vehicle on Kalama River Avenue near Fry's Electronics, May 28 at 6:05 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by smashing the right rear passenger window and had fled undetected. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

A wallet valued at $1,005 was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle from Brookhurst Street near Heil Avenue, May 26 at 9:27 a.m. The unknown suspect(s) fled undetected.

Two separate reports of theft from a vehicle were made from La Rosa Avenue and La Alondra Avenue, May 26 between 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. In both incidences, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the vehicles by using an unknown tool to smash the front windows. The suspect(s) fled undetected with a $75 briefcase from La Rose Avenue and a wallet, valued at $233, from La Alondra Avenue.

A $500 car stereo was reported missing from a vehicle parked in a parking structure at Orange Coast Memorial Hospital on Talbert Avenue and Brookhurst Street, May 25 at 5:09 p.m. No signs of forced entry were detected.

Petty theft was reported on Newhope Street, May 25 at 2:40 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) used a sharp object to cut a rubber fuel line on a 1993 Ford pick-up truck and drained $100 worth of gasoline before fleeing undetected. Damage was estimated at $50.

A purse valued at $800 was reported missing from a parked vehicle on Newhope Street near Slater Avenue, May 23 at 7:26 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by breaking the driver's side window and fled undetected, leaving an estimated $250 worth of damage.

Burglary was reported from a residence on Camellia Avenue, May 23 at 2:37 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by prying open a side door with an unknown tool and fled undetected with $1,700 worth of property. Damage was estimated at $200.

Boomers! Family Entertainment Center reported receiving a counterfeit $50 bill from a customer as he tried to pay for a round of miniature golf on Recreation Circle and Magnolia Street, May 22 at 7:17 p.m. The customer said he had received the counterfeit bill as payment for performing carpentry work and did not know that the currency was illegitimate.

Vehicle vandalism was reported from Lamppost Pizza on Warner Avenue near Brookhurst Street, May 21 at 8:35 p.m. A group of male juveniles were seen throwing rocks at a parked vehicle, resulting a window to crack. Damage was estimated at $300.
