Vehicle Burglary Leaves Golfer With a Costly Round

Police reports from around Fountain Valley.

A man and his passenger parked and locked his car on Warner Ave. to play golf. At 1:45, the victim was notified by a staff member that his vehicle had been broken into. Unknown suspect(s) used an unknown tool to smash the rear passenger window, then took items from the vehicle and fled the scene undetected.

The vehicle burglary report was made July 27 at 1:51 p.m. Damages to the vehicle are estimated at $300. Personal loss is estimated at $5,500.

Vehicle Vandalism, July 30, 10:38 p.m. 0 block Euclid. Unknown suspect(s) made two large incisions into the upper right from of the victim’s convertible top. The victim reached through the cut and unlocked the passenger door to reach her keys. Nothing was moved or stolen from the vehicle. Estimated damage: $1,000.

Burglary, July 29, 5:34 p.m.0 block Palm. Victim left for church at 11:30 a.m., locked his vehicle, and returned at 5:00 p.m. to see his driver side door open. Several items missing from center console and glove compartment. Property loss estimated at $200.

Burglary, July 27, 11:24 a.m. 0 block Los Alamos. Unknown suspect entered residence through sliding glass door while daughter was sleeping in another room. Daughter never woke up as unknown suspect fled the scene through the front door undetected. Two laptops were missing. Total value of the loss: $2,000.

Vehicle Burglary, July 26, 10:29 p.m. 0 block Brookhurst. Victim said unknown suspect smashed passenger rear window of her locked vehicle with an unknown tool and took items valued at $200. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at $300. 

Petty Theft, July 25, 4:10 p.m., 0 block Daisy. Vehicle left unlocked in front of residence. Neighbor said she saw two males open the driver’s door and remove property. Fled in a Camry. Loss valued at $200.

Vehicle Tampering, July 24, 2:48 p.m. Slater Ave. carport. An unknown suspect(s) used an unknown tool to smash the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle. Suspect(s) fled in an unknown direction. Value of loss: $400.

Grand Theft, July 24, 3:30 p.m. 0 block Euclid. Unknown suspect(s) grabbed guitar off front display and fled with store undetected without paying for it. The theft occurred when staffing levels were low. No evidence left behind. Value of the loss was unknown.
