Fountain Valley Sewer Project Enters Third Phase

Workers will start at the corner of Talbert and Cashew and work their way east toward Brookhurst.

Fountain Valley's $1.5 million sewer improvement project will enter its next phase starting Monday as crews will work on the intersection of Slater Avenue and Cashew Street near Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center before heading east toward the intersection of Slater and Brookhurst Street.

The project is expected to last anywhere from 10 days to two weeks. Crews will work from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., depending on traffic conditions, for the early portions of the project. Once the project reaches Brookhurst sometime next week, crews will work night from 8 p.m. until about 4 a.m., making sure the intersection is clear by 6 a.m.

The entire sewer improvement project is scheudled to last about 95 days and repair or replace about 5,000 feet of sewer pipe at 17 total sites throughout the city, including:
