Fountain Valley Touting Budget Surplus for 2010

Projections have the city coming out ahead this year as well.

Using a combination of outsourcing, renegotiation and early retirements, the City of Fountain Valley managed a $1.3 million surplus for 2010 without any layoffs.

Finance Director Sherri Holman attributed the city's financial success to a concerted effort to start saving back in 2008, before the economy went south.
