Courreges Elementary Welcomes Chinese Dignitaries

Fountain Valley Unified welcomed principals from five Chinese schools.

The Fountain Valley Unified School District recently had a chance to share a bit about one of their schools with visiting Chinese dignitaries. The school posted on Facebook describing some of the visit.

We shared their info below.

Five Chinese school principals and one teacher from the Shenzhen province of the People’s Republic of China are visiting Courreges Elementary School in the Fountain Valley School District this week of November 4 to November 8, 2013 as part of a series of educational exchanges between educators in Fountain Valley and China to share concepts on improving education.

"The benefits from engaging in cultural and educational exchanges with countries such as China are two-fold. First of all, Chinese educators are eager to learn more about the creative and diversified educational practices in the U.S.; while at the same time, our students benefit greatly from being able to ask questions and learn more about the Chinese culture and educational system," explained Chris Christensen, principal of Courreges Elementary School.

On Monday, November 18, a delegation of five Chinese middle school teachers will also visit Fulton Middle School.
