Moiola Staff Gets Behind McDonald's Counter

Moiola teachers and administrators work to raise funds for school programs.

Fred Moiola Elementary School staff is getting ready to put on their aprons and hats for a night shift Thurdsay at McDonald's for the school's annual McTeacher's Night.

Once a year, supporters head out to McDonald’s to eat, interact and be served by Moiola teachers and administrators as they work throughout the restaurant to help raise money for the school by taking orders, preparing food in the kitchen and even personally delivering the meals in the dining area.

The McDonald’s sponsored program will donate 20 percent of its profit from the school's three-hour working period, including sales made from the drive-thru.

Last year, the school raised more than $800. This year, Moiola hopes to exceed that number. All proceeds collected will help with maintenance for the computer lab, support ongoing programs such as Art Masters and help fund future activities.
