Newsweek Ranks Fountain Valley High School Among America's Best

Fountain Valley High School is listed among the 2,000 best public schools in America.

Fountain Valley High School is among the best high schools in America, according to a report released Monday by Newsweek.

FVHS was listed as number 877 out of Newsweek's list of the 2,000 best public schools in the nation. Nearby, Huntington Beach's Edison High School came in at 960 and Huntington Beach High School was ranked at 1,314.

The magazine's Best High Schools rankings are based on six components including graduation rates, college acceptance rates and average SAT/ACT scores. According to Newsweek, FVHS and HBHS have a 97 percent graduation rate and Edison has 100 percent.
