Plavan Invites Master Illusionist to Campus

Urbain H. Plavan Elementary School PTO hosts magic show with magician Steve Spellman.

Urbain H. Plavan Elementary School's PTO is inviting the community to join them in “Magic Show Family Night,” starring master illusionist Steve Spellman on Friday, Feb. 18.

Event participants will be enjoying a night of upbeat magic fun with Spellman appearing for the second time at Plavan and performs extraordinary tricks with the help of live animals and audience assistance that will keep the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Spellman is known at Plavan to use his talent as a platform to help encourage students to do well in school, said PTO Vice President Theresa Payne. “He is a very energetic, kid friendly individual and he reminds the children to be good students,” she said.

Admission is $8. All proceeds will help fund musical instruments, after school programs and school supplies. “We are doing all we can to help fund what’s been taken away from the cutbacks,” said Payne.
