District officials made a public announcement that included congratulations to Julie Mastropaolo through a Facebook posting.
Mastropaolo is a fifth grade teacher at Gisler Elementary School and is the District's Coordinating Teacher for the ScienceWorks program. She and her fellow nominees were honored Friday evening at the Disneyland Hotel, officials said.
