Firefighters Look to Stay Pefect at Fifth Annual Police vs. Firefighters Basketball Game

All proceeds from the game will benefit the Fountain Valley girls basketball program.

New Fountain Valley Police Chieft Dan Llorens will try to break his department's losing streak next Saturday when the police department takes on the fire department in the fiftth annual game between the two departments.

All proceeds from the game go to the Fountain Valley High girls basketball program. Tickets are sold at the door for $5. Kids' tickets a $3, and kids 3 and under get in for free. There will be plenty of snacks and raffle tickets available, and halftime entertainment will be provided by the Fountain Valley High cheerleading squad.

The fire department has won all four previous meetings. In last year's game, the firefighters shot the lights out from the outside and rode a run-and-gun offense to a 49-38 win. Jeff Kerns of the fire department led all scorers with 20 points.
