Humberto Rojas of Fountain Valley was the men's winner of Sunday's sixth annual Disneyland Half Marathon, dubbed "The Happiest Race on Earth."
Rojas, 27, completed the 13.1-mile flat loop course in one hour, eight minutes, 14 seconds. Jesse Kleinjan of Chicago was second, at 1:12:13.
Rachel Booth of Mandeville, La. was the women's winner for the second consecutive year. Booth, 30, won with a 1:18:01 time, 2:41 slower than her winning time last year. Jennifer Boyd of Santa Paula was second among the women, at 1:23:17.
A record field of more than 15,000 registered for the race, including runners from 49 states, 15 foreign countries and host Drew Carey from the CBS game show "The Price is Right.'' The 53-year-old Carey ran a personal best 1:50:45, despite nursing a separated clavicle sustained Aug. 17 when he fell while jogging. Carey was 47th among men ages 50-54 and 770th overall.
The race has reached its registration capacity each year. The course began near Downtown Disney, continued through Disney's California Adventure and Disneyland, then along Anaheim's streets, past Honda Center, along the Santa Ana Trail overlooking the Santa Ana River, through Angel Stadium, past Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, and concluded adjacent to the Disneyland Hote.
