Lady Barons Win Second Straight; Lobos Fall
Fountain Valley high school hoops briefs for Wednesday.
The Fountain Valley girls won their second straight game to open the season, 65-60, over Schurr in the Lady Barons' second pool play game of the Lady Barons Hoops Challenge at Fountain Valley High. Sophomore Lora Bender led Fountain Valley for the second straight game with 20 points.
The Los Amigos girls improved to 3-2 with a 44-41 win over Godinez. Junior Olisa Horn led Los Amigos with 13 points.
The Los Amigos boys fell to 1-1 on the season after a 55-50 loss to Whitney. Junior Jorge Bedolla led the Lobos with 18 points in the loss.
