Proceeds were donated from the new sub shop's grand opening.

Jersey Mike’s Subs made a donated $2,000 last week to the Fountain Valley Community Foundation to help the foundation's efforts in providing programs and services in Fountain Valley.

Jersey Mike’s Subs recently opened a new store in Fountain Valley. Whenever a new store is opened, a local nonprofit is selected to benefit financially during the store’s grand opening. Patrons were given a free sandwich with every minimum $1 donation to the FV Community Foundation. As a result of the store’s efforts, Jersey Mike’s Subs donated $2,000.

The money raised by the Fountain Valley Community Foundation goes back into the community or are used to provide programs and services in Fountain Valley. Recently, the FVCF supported the Senior Nutrition Program with a $5,000 donation. This program provides an opportunity for seniors to receive a nutritious lunch twice a week at the Senior and Community Center.

Additional funds go to support the bi-monthly disabled dances held at the Recreation Center.
