Senior Center Honors Volunteers with Mardi Gras-Style Celebration

Where is the perfect place to enjoy Mardi Gras? At the Senior Center, of course!

On Monday, 85 senior center volunteers were treated to a Mardi Gras celebration with magnificent colors and intricate details surrounding the room. They were greeted with beads, mint juleps, shrimp cocktail, and enjoyed a delicious lunch of Cajun food.

Volunteers at the Senior Center staff the reception desk, work on meals programs, and help with special events. Since the center’s opening in 2005, volunteers have worked a total of 49,416 hours.
