The Center at Founders Village Senior and Community Center is operated by Fountain Valley's Recreation and Community Services Division. The center serves as a social gathering place for seniors age 55 and older. The city also provides many programs, services and classes to seniors at the center. Twice a week, a meet and greet lunch is provided for a small donation. Programs that take place here include Fountain Valley Bridge Club, Fountain Valley Senior Club, income tax assistance, volunteer opportunities, Diabetes Support Group, Golden Years Support Group and Low Vision Support Group. Classes in safe driving, fitness, dance, art, mental gymnastics, quilting and ukulele are also offered. Some health services provided here include blood pressure testing, Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program and Preventive Health Care for the Aging. Many social functions, such as dances and holiday parties, are held regularly.

The site of the center is where the first school, which was established in 1900, stood in Fountain Valley. The bell from the school is displayed just outside the center's entrance. A new school building was built here in 1920, which later served as City Hall from 1962 to 1964. The center is conveniently located adjacent to The Jasmine Senior Apartments at Founders Village.
