Summerfest 2012 Is Here!

The fourth annual event marking the city's anniversary is bigger than ever.

Fountain Valley is holding its fouth annual Summerfest this upcoming
weekend. The Fountain Valley Summerfest is not only a four-day weekend to come and have an abundance of fun, but it is also a form of celebration, appreciation and respect toward 55 years of community excellence in Fountain Valley.

This year Summerfest has so many events planned for their community that it is hard to keep track of all the fun and exciting festivities. The event will
include carnival rides, foods and beverage booths, game booths, local entertainment, exhibitors, non-profit organizations, live music, a beer and wine garden, Battle of the Bands, Live Sports Tent, the Fountain Valley Classic Car and Truck Show, and last but not least, the Dog Day Afternoon Event.

Thursday night will be the preview night for Summerfest. Preview night will be kicked off with the opening of many different activities and carnival games just so that people will get a preview of what is to come for the actual event starting on Fridday. Not only will activities be available, but all carnival rides will only be $1. The beer and margarita garden will also be open for people to come in and enjoy a nice cool drink, and six gourmet food trucks will be on hand for people to come and try all the delicious foods. The food trucks that will be available
are the Barcelona On the Go, Seabirds Trucks, The Burnt Truck, Short Stop BBQ, Dogzilla, and Dos Chinos.

When Summerfest officially kicks off on Friday, the Fountain Valley High School Jazz Band will be playing, along with the PopDudes and Abbey Road, which is a tribute to the Beatles.

Not only will all these big events be taking place at Summerfest, remember, there will still be carnival rides, food, the beer and wine garden, and live music
playing all day long. It will be a perfect event to spend time with all your family, friends, and loved ones. There will be such a diverse variety of music, food, games, rides, and just pure fun available for all people to come and celebrate the fantastic community of Fountain Valley.
