Volunteers Needed to Help Keep Huntington Beach 'Barefoot Friendly'

Barefoot Wine and the Surfrider Foundation embark on a tour of 15 beach cleanups nationwide including Huntington Beach on Saturday.

If you like to walk without shoes at Huntington Beach, you may want to consider volunteering at this weekend's beach cleanup.

Hosted by the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project and the Surfrider Foundation, the cleanup at Huntington Beach will take place on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. to help keep the beach barefoot-friendly. According to event organizers, this year Barefoot Wine and the Surfrider Foundation are embarking on a tour of 15 cleanups nationwide, which includes this weekend's Huntington Beach event.

After the cleanup, volunteers 21 + are invited to attend a celebration featuring Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and tasty beach food at the Shorebreak Hotel, 500 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.

The meeting place for the beach cleanup is at Huntington Beach at 6th Street and Pacific Coast Highway. Volunteers should look for the Surfrider tent.
