Swimmable California Day Celebration and Beach Cleanup

July 25 is the first ever, Swimmable California Day! OC Coastkeeper is hosting a beach cleanup celebration from 3:00 - 7:00 pm. at Bolsa Chica State Beach, lifeguard tower #20. Swimmable CA Day is a Senate Resolution that passed the Legislature with large bi-partisan support for clean water. Everyone who enjoys paddling, surfing, swimming, or just frolicking in the waves should come and do their part to keep their beach and waters clean. Afterwards, we encourage you to go and enjoy all the hard work you accomplished.

We will have hot dogs and s'mores on the beach while supplies last. At 6:00 pm, Assemblyman Travis Allen, Mayor Connie Boardman, Coastkeeper's executive director, and a representative from the OC Sanitation District will join us to say a few words about keeping our waters clean for all beach lovers to enjoy.

Parking is free for anyone who arrives by 5:30 pm and tells the kiosk that they are participating in the cleanup. You can find directions hereDownload the mandatory waiver here, and anyone under 18 needs a parent/guardian to sign for them. If you have any questions about this event, visit http://www.coastkeeper.org/take-action/events/, email volunteer@coastkeeper.org or call 714-850-1965.
