1 DUI Arrest Made at Fountain Valley Checkpoint

More than 850 cars passed through Friday's checkpoint in Fountain Valley.

A sobriety checkpoint Friday night in Fountain Valley netted one DUI arrest, a police official reported.

A total of 856 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, which started at 9 p.m. and ran through 3 a.m Friday, according to Lt. Robert Sweaza, of the Fountain Valley Police Department. Of those, 10 drivers were screened for DUI.

One vehicle was towed and two citations were also handed out to drivers for not having a valid driver's license.
