Retired Fountain Valley Police service dog Roy died on Friday. Roy, a Belgian Malinois, was 15 years old. He served faithfully alongside senior officer Pat Estes from 2001 to 2007. Roy was an integral part of the police department, assisting in the capture of numerous felons, the recovery of illegal drugs, and ably representing the department in many public events. The officer and his family were with Roy when he passed.
