FV Pedestrian Struck by Car Remains in Critical Condition

Police seek witnesses who may have seen who hit a 43-year old man near Mile Square Park.

A 43-year-old man remains in critical condition today after he was struck by a car while crossing the street near Mile Square Park Sunday.

The accident happened at 5:30 p.m. when the man stepped into the intersection at Euclid Street and Stonecress Avenue. At the same time, a driver was turning right onto Stonecress Avenue from Euclid Street, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department. The driver struck the pedestrian, causing traumatic head trauma. The victim’s identity is being withheld, pending notification of his family.

“At this time, alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a contributing factor to the collision,” a Fountain Valley Police Department spokesman said in a written release. “No arrests have been made at this time.”
