Fountain Valley Police Department's Tip A Cop event raises big money for Special Olympics
The Fountain Valley Police Department raised more than $17,000 Thursday at its annual Tip A Cop event at Claim Jumper in Fountain Valley.
The total, which will benefit Special Olympics, was more than double last year's total. The event featured SWAT and K-9 demonstrations, as well as collectible cars and a silent auction.
The Nobles Family Foundation and Fountain Valley Regional Hosptial, along with Claim Jumper, donated to the event.
