Pedestrian Killed by SUV
Kevin Blanciak, 25, is hit dashing across Brookhurst near Quail just after midnight, authorities say.
A 25-year-old Fountain Valley man was struck and killed by an SUV this morning as he ran across Brookhurst Street near Quail Avenue, police said.
Kevin Blanciak was hit shortly after midnight in the northbound lanes of Brookhurst, Fountain Valley police Sgt. Tony Luce said.
Blanciak, who was not in a crosswalk, was trying to get to his home, police said. He was taken to UCI Medical Center and died at 3:02 a.m., according to the coroner's office.
