Police: Man Tried to Sexually Assault Woman on Jog in Huntington Beach (Video)

The woman tells police she noticed the man following her during her early morning jog— and he managed to push her down and rip her shirt before she escaped, according to police.

Huntington Beach police have released a composite sketch of a man who tried to sexually assault a jogger Aug. 28.

The woman noticed the man following her as she jogged about 6:45 a.m. near Huntington Village Lane and Center Avenue, Huntington Beach police Lt. Mitch O'Brien said.

The man pushed the woman down from behind and ripped her shirt before she managed to get away, he said.

The man was described as a Latino, about 5 feet 10 inches and 140 pounds, with short dark hair and wearing a light-gray T-shirt, dark jeans and black shoes with orange laces.

Anyone with more information as to the suspect's name or whereabouts was asked to call detectives at (714) 536-5995.
