Council to Consider Sewer Master Plan Update

The proposed update would cost the city about $234,000 more than it had originally planned to spend.

At is regular meeting Tuesday night, the Fountain Valley City Council will consider whether to spend $893,636 to update the city's master sewer plan.

The proposal from consulting firm Anderson-Penna includes extensive CCTV inspection and analysis work, development of an updated capital improvement program, a comprehensive financial modeling component that considers the city’s existing rate structure and updates to the city’s sewer infrastructure.

The proposed amount would exceed the city's budget for the project by more than $234,000, but, according to the proposal, there is adequate money in the city's sewer fund to cover the difference.
