A Magical Evening of Fun and Illusion
Spellman's Magic Spectacular is coming to Moiola Elementary School.
On Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m., Moiola Elementary will host a community-wide Family Fun Night. The school will be transformed by a breathtaking spectacle of glittering costumes, upbeat music and amazing illusions, as Spellman’s Magical Spectacular takes the stage.
“We like to hold Family Fun Nights so that families get a chance to get together outside of school time,” said Kate Dillon, Moiola second-grade teacher and membership vice president for the PTA. “It’s a great opportunity for parents of younger children to meet other parents and have a chance to socialize together.”
Steve Spellman is a master illusionist who has performed on HBO, Comedy Central and The Tonight Show. He blends humor and magic in a show designed especially for families. He also recently performed at Plavan Elementary School in Fountain Valley.

“In addition to putting on a great show, Spellman integrates positive, character building messages in a fun and entertaining way," Dillon said. "Throughout the show he talks about making good choices in life, aspiring to your dreams, and surrounding yourself with good people.”
Spellman performed a recent preview show at an assembly for Moiola students and made quite an impression. “He made a live rabbit appear out of a tube!” said fourth-grader Kayla LeMay.
