Fountain Valley Regional Hospital to Host Blood Drive

The 'All We Need Is Blood!' event will feature an appearance by radio personality Gary Bryan.

If you're looking for do something fun and save a few lives before summer ends, you can Join LifeStream, K-Earth 101 and this Friday on the hospital campus for the "All We Need is Blood!’" blood drive. 

Gary Bryan, host of the K-Earth Morning Show, will be on hand from noon to 2 p.m. All donors receive a special edition "All We Need is Blood!" T-shirt, free cholesterol screening and a Knott’s Soak City "Everyone’s a Kid" discount coupon, courtesy of LifeStream. Twenty lucky donors will win a pair of tickets to an upcoming Fab Four concert.

High school students (must present school ID and provide proof of age) may enter to win an iPad. College students (minimum 18 years of age and must present school ID) may enter to win one of two $5,000 tuition awards.

Donors must have photo ID, and should eat a healthy meal shortly before donating and drink plenty of fluids in the 24 hours prior to donation.

Donors must be at least 15 years of age (15- and 16-year-olds require a signed parental consent form available at donor centers, community drives and LifeStream's website), be in general good health, and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
