I no longer live in Long Beach, but I try to keep close tabs on the city of my birth and the place I lived most of my adult life. Approach me with civility and respect and we can discuss almost any topic and, hopefully, learn something from one another along the way. Descend into disrespect and discourtesy, however, and you will get no where with me quite rapidly. Meet me in the arena of ideas as an equal. Do not attempt to assume a false sense of intellectual or moral superiority. If you believe you know a thing that you think I should learn, suggest it with courtesy, and support your assertions with objectively verifiable facts. Try these things when you engage me in dialog or debate, and we will get along just fine.
